My primary task as a Text Specialist (and later as a Copy Editor) was copyediting in-game dialogue, barks, and skill text, promotional materials, and web copy for Fire Emblem Heroes, Dragalia Lost, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Dr. Mario World, and Mario Kart Tour. I primarily focused on clarity and grammar.

Support local(ized) art.

In a video game world where skimpy outfits and twisty T-and-A poses abound, my team reviewed and approved artwork for North American audiences.

We considered the age of the characters depicted, appropriateness of their attire, context, and significance behind any symbols used in their outfits.
